HIGH and TALL

We use high to describe the measurement of something: The garden wall is two meters high.

We also use high to describe the distance of something from the ground: The room had very high ceilings.

   We use tall not high for people: How tall are you?

Tall is used for other things that are narrow such as trees: The house was hidden by tall trees.

Buildings can be tall or high: The World Trade Center is higher/ taller than the Empire State building

حرف تعريف نامعين شامل a و an مي‌باشد.

حرف تعريف a قبل از يك حرف بي‌صدا بکار مي‌رود:

a car, a man, a bus, a house

حرف تعريف an قبل از يک حرف صدادار (a,e,i,o,u) بکار مي‌رود:

an apple, an actor, an animal, an old man
