General Aims: a)Using the method of "Cooperative Learning". It's a nearly established method in education and psychology. I'm going to find out if this method is useful or not. b)Teaching the students "Reading Comprehension". c)Finding out if grouping in class works or not. d)Trying not to use students native language during teaching. e)Using the process of repetition in teaching and observing the consequences. | ||

Behavioural Objectives: At the end of session the students will be able to read the passage fluently with no problem in meaning of new words and the whole passage. | ||

Teaching Aids: 1.The book, the black boardand some pieces of chalks. 2.Drawings or paintings about new words and the text sentences . 3.Using video ,tapes or cds ,related to the subject. | ||

Methods of teaching: -Cooperative learning method along with Eclectic Method. | ||

The students answer Present/absent *************** The students will listen carefully & try to make some correct sentences. The groups will do what I ask them.They come &represent their sentences. They listen carefully &find their own sentences. They repeat the sentences They ask & answer questions **************** They listen & then read They watch & listen & ask questions **************** They write down what I assign them. |
1.After greeting and checking students attendance in class, I 'll go to their previous homework. 2. I remind the students of what I'm going to do. 3.I put the class in seven groups of four students. **************************************************** 4.Showing them the pictures,I'll taik about the new words with simple and easy sentences.Then I'll hand the pictures to them and want them to make a sentence for each picture.(Each group one sentence) 5.In this part,I call each group to say their sentences while showing their pictures.(one minute for each group)The other groups will check the new sentences.The wrong sentences will be corrected by groups. 6.The students are given the text sentences simply,by the teacher. Now the students are going through the text.Itry to use their own sentences through my teaching. 7.After me they'll repeat the sentences. This cause the sentences to stick in their minds. 8.I ask each group to make some questions about what they see in pictures.Each group asks the other groups some questions and the other groups will answer.(oral questioning & answering) *************************************************** 9.I read the passage once and the students will listen. I read it once more and ask some of the students to read it two or three times. 10.The class will listen to the taps and watch a pice of film related to the passage. Tthey ask questions if they have. **************************************************** 11.Assigning homework: Finally I ask them to read the passage at home, answer the questions, and get ready for next session. 12.The students close the books. We'll talk in English for some minutes.and leave the class. |
